Well, besides working my butt off to get money for books for college, i've been packing, packing, packing.Sounds like a blast, eh? Not so much. I didn't realize how much clothing i'd be bringing to school.
SURPRISE! i filled up one of those big tubs full. wahoo.
Anyway, I had a get-together with some of my close friends. I figured I wouldn't see them until winter break (i have a short thanksgiving break, and ONE day off for fall break).
It was bittersweet for me, because i realized that it would be a few months before i'd see my amazing friends again.
I'm trying not to cry right now because i miss them already, and we said our goodbye (for now)s a half hour ago.
The get-together lasted a long time though, 5 HOURS! I told people that the times were 7-10, because i do have to work tomorrow.
One of my work friends came, so that was nice. She even brought a "college survival kit" for me, aka a bag with ramen noodles and LOADS of candy.
Honestly, I'm trying to avoid the freshman 15 (even if it is a myth) but she is such a sweetie. People stayed til midnight, so i guess they had fun.
Right now, i'm trying to get myself to get excited for moving in and all of the amazing people i'll meet, but part of me still doesn't want to leave.
my friends leave at the end of next week or in 2 weeks. Soooo sad.
But moving in and meeting new people should be fun, right? (well, maybe not moving...)
I talked to my cousin who lives a few states away and she goes to Queens college.
The one piece of advice she gave me was that I should introduce myself to everyone and be a little obnoxious.
That way, I'll get to know LOTS of people.
Should I be a socialite? I don't even know what clubs/groups I want to join!
Help me out!!
